Sinbad Marine Services Ltd Dry-Dock M/T Carron

Mooney Boats Ltd dry-docked Sinbad Marine Services Ltd MV Carron on the 28^th November 2011 on the Synchrolift in Killybegs. The M/T Carron is a Voith Schneider Tug with an overall lengths 28.45m x 8.5m beam x 4m draft. Due to the shape of the underside of the vessel this is a particularly difficult dry-dock. When the vessel was on the lift she was washed and painted and also had all he anodes replaced. The vessel also had her Lloyds 5 year survey completed when she was up on the lift which involved replacing seals on Voith Blades. Mooney Boats Ltd engineers assisted Sinbad Marine engineers in the replacement of these seals. Shovlin Marine Ltd engineers carried out work on the main engines on the vessel and Mooney Boats Ltd engineers completed a measurement survey of the vales and liners which was presented to the Lloyds engineers. The vessel was put of the Synchrolift on the 12 December 2011
