Mooney Boats Ltd Deliver New Landing Separator to MFV Neptune

Mooney Boats Ltd manufactured and supplied a new aluminium landing separator to the MFV Neptune in December 2012. The vessel damaged the Iras S/S landing separator which was delivered originally with the vessel when she was built. So the vessel needed a new separator as soon as possible because this was in the middle of the mackerel season. A new design was drawn up by Mooney Boats Ltd and it was decided to make the new separator from 8mm aluminium for strength and also to keep the weight down. The yard also modified the design and made the fish discharge section wider and deeper so that there would be less damage to the fish when been pumped out under pressure and keep quality to a premium.
