MFV Lovon Dry-Docks at Mooney Boats Ltd

Mooney Boats Ltd has recently completed the dry-docking for the MFV Carmona for the first time since 2003. The vessel was dry-docked on the 21^st May where she had her btm washed down in the repair bay and then was taken into the shotblasting & painting shed where she got a complete new paint job completed on the underside of the vessel. While she was in the shot blasting shed the yard also got the fish tanks on the vessel sandblasted and painted. Mooney Boats also removed the rudder from the vessel along with the propeller and tail shaft. The propeller and tail shaft were taken back to the yard workshop where the hub and propeller blades were cleaned and polished. The yard also torqued up the hub bolts and refitted the tail shaft along with new seals which were supplied by the owners. On completion the yard completed an inspection report for the lift measurements on the tail shaft and also the rudder bushings top and btm Mooney Boats Ltd also supplied and fitted new MC Duff anodes on the MFV Lovon while in dry-dock. The deck crane was removed and a new set off ring gear was ordered and fitted on the crane. Mooney Boats Ltd also supplied 2 New Nor-Sap 1500 skippers’ chairs for the wheelhouse which is being refurbished on the vessel. The MFV Lovon was put back in the water on the 5^th June 2012 and Mooney Boats Ltd look forward to see Anthony Gerard and the crew on the MFV Lovon in 2013 for another dry-docking.
