MFV Colmcille and MFV Carmarose Up On Synchrolift

 
Mooney Boats Ltd had the MFV Carmarose up on the Synchrolift on the 18 July 2011 for her annual wash and painting & the MFV Colmcille was up on the 3rd August for the same purpose. Mooney Boats Ltd washed both vessels and Gerard Bray & Sons Ltd completely repainted the vessel from top to bottom. While the vessel was out of the water Mooney Boats Ltd removed the rudder and tail shaft from both vessels. A completed new set of seals and liners were supplied and fitted and all equipment was put back into the vessels.
 
The yard also supplied and fitted a complete new set of MG Duff anodes. When the vessels were on the synchrolift there shipside’s valves were removed and stripped down and fitted back into the vessel again by Mooney Boats Ltd engineers.
 
The yard also carried out inspections for ware on the rudder shafts and heal bearing on both ships and sent reports to the Marine Survey Office. Both vessels were put back in the water 3rd August & 15th August respectively.
