Annual maintenance work on the Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioner's Tug 'Culmore'

Mooney Boats Ltd were the chosen yard to carry out the annual maintenance work on the “Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners” Tug 'Culmore' which was lifted out of the water today 4^th October 2010.

The vessel is a  single screw ship with bow thrusters, 42 tonne bollard pull, Gross Tonnage 291ton, Length Overall 32.4m, 2600 Horse Power. The work will include

• the complete washdown from the top of the mast to the bottom of the keel. The vessel will then be taken indoors for a complete new paint job from top to bottom.
• Portlight seals replaced and repaired
• Ultrasonic Inspection to the underside of the hull
• Reconditioning some overboard valves
• Checkiong the Tail-shaft seals and checked rudder bushings Worked on Nozzle
• Mooney Boats Ltd will also supply and fit a complete new set of MG Duff anodes for the ship.
