Mooney Boats Ltd are suppliers of Orkney Boats.

Longliner 16

The Longliner 16 has been in production for over 30 years. Well over 3000 of this classic have been built and it has become the first choice of serious fishermen who appreciate the great seakeeping and long keel which enables Longliners to drift comfortably and lie well at anchor.

There are chunky bilge keels to aid stability and beach launching and the stiff but light hull means low horsepower engines, low capacity trailers and low fuel consumption - adding to low cost boating without sacrificing seaworthiness.

Orkney 440

The Orkney 440 is the perfect choice for those looking for a proper little sea boat that is light enough to launch and recover easily. The relatively high freeboard and wide beam give a deep secure cockpit and plenty of stability. Tough and rigid construction is achieved by utilising the buoyancy chambers as part of the structure. The resulting low weight enables the 440 to plane with as little as 15hp. For serious fishing or family pleasure trips the 440 is a great choice.

Orkney 520

The Orkney 520 has been developed from the Strikeliner 16, arguably the most successful 16 fishing dinghy ever with over 1700 built. The new 520 has a slightly more "V" in the forward sections and more waterline beam for a smoother ride and greater stability at anchor.

The monococque deck is bonded to the hull and backbone structure during the moulding stage resulting in high strength to weight whilst the new walkthrough cocpit layout gives plenty of space for fishing. Self-draining under way and capable of 18+ knots with 25 HP - the 520 is the best buy in fast fishing dinghies.
